Sheringham Methodists to host Climate Fair

A Climate and Sustainability Fair will be held next week at St Andrews Methodist Church in Sheringham, which is free for anyone to attend.

Several local organisations and churches will be taking part, including Sheringham Town Council, St Andrew’s Methodist Church and St Joseph’s Catholic Church. The day will include a number of educational stalls, talks, art exhibitions, a junior choir, and CAFOD (the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) is attending to promote ‘Live Simply’ and its associated principles.
 
Other participants include Recycling with North Norfolk District Council, Edwina Textiles, Passive Housebuilding, Community Fridge, The All Natural Company, plus special guests who will speak about a variety of subjects on the environment, including 20 best actions to reduce climate impact. There will also be a Sustainability Artwork exhibition by the Beaver Scouts and Sheringham Community Primary School and a performance by the school choir at 2.30pm.
 
Sheringham St Andrews 750ATDavid Burns, CAFOD representative from St Joseph’s Church said, “The whole event will help people understand what they can do as individuals and communities to lower our impact on the climate, and help the environment recover.”
 
The event will run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 20 April with free refreshments and a free low energy LED light bulb being given away to the first 100 visitors.
